Position Overview:  

McClung Energy Services is the upstream oil and gas market leader in the fabrication and manufacturing of gas and electric drive compressor packages. We are seeking dependable and driven team members for our fast paced, multiple-facilities manufacturing operations. As a valuable part of our production team across one of a variety of disciplines such as millwright, structural welding, tubing, or pipe assemble (cutting, fitting, welding, or hanging), you will be vital to ensure production goals are met while observing the highest standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities / Job Duties

• • Support a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possible

• • Must use all necessary personal protective equipment to safely meet job expectations and statutory compliance requirements

• • Use a variety of tools such as: angle grinders, plasma cutter and/or torch, hand tools, hoists, jacks, overhead crane, torque wrenches, squares, rules, micrometers, plumb bobs, impact guns and other power tools to assemble, install, align, and adjust components

• • May weld components according to the company’s welding procedure specifications (WPS)

• • Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures

• • Installs components and ensure performance to Engineering specifications

• • Adhere to company policy, procedures, and rules

• • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude

• • Flexibility to work hours necessary to meet plant requirements

• • Need minimal instructions of pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job

• • Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications 

• • High school diploma or GED and 1+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

• • Vocational school or Associates degree in related field preferred

• • At least two years of experience required

• • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings

• • Ability to read and use a tape measure in US units (not metric)

• • Ability to read and use a level

• • Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment

• • Experience in welding processes such as GMAW/MIG hard-wire is desired

• • If applicable, pass pre-employment and periodic weld tests

Physical Requirements

• • Ability to stand, sit and/or walk on a hard surface as well as safely bend, stoop, reach, climb steps, and use ladder for long periods of time

• • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• • Vision required: 20/40 with or without corrective lenses to accurately see welding materials

Working Conditions 

• • Subject to outdoor environment with adjusting temperatures and climate
