Position Overview:  

Responsible for cutting, bending and completing stainless steel tubing runs.

Responsibilities / Job Duties

• • Support a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possible

• • Must use all necessary personal protective equipment to safely meet job expectations and statutory compliance requirements

• • Cuts, bends, and completes stainless steel tubing runs to Engineering specifications

• • Installs threaded piping to Engineering specifications

• • Adhere to company policy, procedures, and rules

• • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude

• • Flexibility to work hours necessary to meet plant requirements

• • Need minimal instructions of pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job

• • Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications 

• • High school diploma or GED and 1+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

• • Organizational skills and attention to detail

• • Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment

• • Ability to read isometric pipe drawings

• • Ability to read and use a tape measure in US units (not metric)

• • Ability to read and use a level

• • Ability to use hand tools and power tools

• • Competency Test: Get a piece of tubing and perform a 90, 45, and 22 degree bend and properly tighten tubing fittings.

Physical Requirements

• • Ability to stand, sit and/or walk on a hard surface as well as safely bend, stoop, reach, climb steps, and use ladder for long periods of time

• • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• • Vision required: 20/40 with or without corrective lenses to accurately read all related distribution documents

Working Conditions 

• • Subject to outdoor environment with adjusting temperatures and climate
